The advantages of 2-component systems for sealing and adhesive bonding are, on the one hand, the controlled, uniform, usually rapid curing and, on the other hand, the fact that they make joint dimensions of over 15 mm possible.
2-component sealants and adhesives are always supplied in two parts. The two components are matched to each other in terms of quantity. Component A is usually referred to as the base compound, component B as the curing agent. Only the even (homogeneous) mixing of the two components guarantees perfect curing! Poorly mixed compounds do not react or react insufficiently.

You can easily check whether the two components are optimally mixed. As both components are coloured differently, you have to mix them until no more colour stripes are visible.
Please note the pot life: it describes the application time once the system has been mixed. If this time is exceeded, the compound can no longer be applied (viscosity too high) or there is insufficient wetting to the priming.
